BIOGRAPHY

24 year old Jessica Ebanks hails from the district of North Side where she has lived all her life. Her charity of choice for this year's pageant is the Cayman Islands Red Cross, an organization that she's not only been affiliated with for the past 9 years, but one that exemplifies principles and objectives for humanitarian aid, a concept very well known, debated, and discussed. As a young high school student at Triple C, she has been affiliated with many extracurricular activities that included serving as her school's Key Club Secretary in 2002, Vice President in 2003 and President in 2004. Each year she ensured that the Red Cross was an organization at the forefront of her club's activities whether it be via collecting donations, helping out the thrift shop, wrapping gifts for those in need, taking First Aid and CPR courses or fundraising for international causes along with UNICEF objectives as set out through the Club's District Council.

During her later years as a University student in London, Ontario, she had the distinct privilege of volunteering with the local Red Cross by distributing food and clothing to the less fortunate. Serving food to those in need and seeing thier gratefulness was rewarding, and fueled her desire to continue helping as so earnestly done consecutive years before.

After university, she started her full time job but was asked to serve as Secretary for her district's National Hazard Committee which she readily accepted. This sense of responsibility and pride fuels her desire to have a stronger understanding and compassion towards the emotional struggles and hardships affecting others.

Miss Ebanks maintains a Bachelor's Degree in International and Comparative Studies and is also a certified Equity and Stock Trader. She has been accepted into the University of Manchester to pursue a Master's Degree in International Development and HR Management.
